Lead with Care

May 30 | Noon-1 PM

The Vineyard Church

“Every one of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves.” - Princess Diana

When we think of the word “care,” our minds are usually filled with inviting images of warm hugs, nourishing meals, and a shoulder to cry on. And while care can look like all of those things, sometimes care is less tangible. Sometimes care looks like structures and systems that support and provide. At a micro level, care can look like a listening ear, an empathetic disposition, or a soft place to land. And at a macro level, care can look like boundaries around time, clearly communicated expectations, and investing in people’s holistic health.

Giving and receiving care is one of the most basic and fundamental tenets of being human. We all need care. Giving and receiving care allows us to have our needs met, deepen our connection to one another, and find meaning in our lives. With this in mind, showing care for others doesn’t have to come at the detriment of your own needs being met. In fact, maybe modeling for others what it means to be a whole person is one of the best ways you can show care to the people around you.

Join us this month as we talk about what it means to lead with care. What barriers prevent us from giving and receiving care? How do we determine how to care for one another? And what do we do when we don’t feel cared for at work? We can’t wait to engage with you in this important conversation.
