Speaker: Deanne Brodie-Mends

The Lady Deanne, otherwise known as Deanne Brodie Mends, is a believer, poet, writer, community builder, and speaker. Deanne opened the Poets in Autumn tour in 2012, was a regular at Ordinary People Lounge, has spoken at TEDxOKC, and has graced several local venues in the city. She has also worked with several nonprofits in the community like the Dragonfly Home and Operation Underground Railroad in Salt Lake City, Utah in her efforts to end human trafficking by doing her most known piece entitled, “What’s your favorite color?” Her message is simple: To show others their worth in Christ because for so long she didn’t know hers.
